With new owner Bob Young installed as the head honcho things are finally
starting to look up for the Tiger-Cats. We might have finished the year
with a disgusting 1-17 record but throughout the second half of the year
they started to resemble a football team for the 1st time all year.
Three Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been voted to the Canadian Football League's
East Division All-Star team announced today.
Running back TROY DAVIS, who registered a career-best 1206 yards rushing
in his third year with the Tiger-Cats, was selected on Offence while defensive
end TIM CHEATWOOD and cornerback BRANDON HAMILTON were selected on Defence.
The Canadian Football league also announced the Division nominees for
the Rogers AT & T CFL Player Awards and rookie Tiger-Cat fullback
JULIAN RADLEIN was honoured with the nomination as Outstanding Rookie
in the East Division.
As Hamilton's 1st round pick (3rd overall) in the 2003 Canadian College
Draft, the 23 year old UBC grad led the Tiger-Cats in touchdowns this
season with a total of 7 as he carried the ball 53 times for a total of
153 yards. He also caught 20 passes for 169 yards.
